Sadis story part 2

After the narrow escape from the hyenas, Sadis wondered through the grave yard all alone. Seeing the cubs leave with the large angry lion made her feel horribly guilty. It wasn’t their fault; it was mine she thought to herself angrily. I should have got them out of here straight away! Now those poor cubs are going to get into trouble. She stopped walking and looked behind the way she came. NO I’m not going to be a cowered and run away, I’ve got to set things right! Sadis trued shapely and galloped across the grave yard, finally leaving this hellish place.

The sun had dropped under the horizon; however the moon and stars lighted everything in a sheet on white. Sadis had managed to follow the scent and footprints of the lions to open grassland. She travelled slow, keeping her head down until Sadis spotted the lion and one of the cubs. The cubs head was lowered and the lion’s voice was raised. Her ear listened hard to the words being said. She believed the cub was called Simba and that the lion was his father, from what she heard. Sadis had her head so low in the long grass that she could see what was going on and for a moment she heard nothing. This was her chance, she raised her body, preparing to talk, all she could do was stare at what she saw. The lion and cub were chasing each other, playing. They laughed with joy, falling over and rolling around like they had never been outside before. It was a beautiful sight, one Sadis couldn’t miss. The two had now stopped staring up at the star filled sky, with Simba on his father’s shoulders. She listed again. “Simba let me tell you something that my father told me....” the great lion said to his son. Sadis felt like she was spying on them and so turned to walk away leaving them in peace. Sadis walked with her head high, feeling even happier that she helped the cubs today...

Suddenly Simba heard a noise, so did Mufasa and both their head turned at the same time. Simba caught sight of a large black silhouette moving slowly away into the night. He knew who was at once and leap off his father back shouting “Dad she came back!! She’s the one who helped save us today. You must meet her” Mufasa smiled at him and Simba ran after the black shape. He really wanted to thank the one who protected his son. “HAY!! WAIT PLEASE COME BACK!!!” Simba called. Sadis stopped as soon as she the cub’s cries. She was smiling again. “ Sadis you came back, I knew you would” Sadis bent down to nuzzle Simba “ I wanted to make sure you were ok and not getting into too much trouble with your father, it wasn’t your fault” Simba looked up confused “ It wasn’t your fault, you helped us, In fact you could have been killed today because of me.... so I wanted to thank you.” The little cub rubbed gentle against the horse’s front leg. “ Come and meet my dad Sadis” Simba said walking in the direction of where Mufasa was waiting, but Sadis didn’t budge. “ Urrr Simba I don’t think it a good idea, you see lions and my kind don’t mix very well” Sadis murmured “Oooohhh please, my dad really wants to meet you” The horse sighed and carefully stepped forward towards the cub’s father . Simba ran to his father’s side but Sadis stood a couple of feet away. The lion had a warm grin on his face. “ This is her dad, she risked her life to save us from the hyenas” Simba told him. The lion spoke “ You don’t know how much I owe you for what you did for me, helping my son when you don’t even know him., it was a very brave thing”
“You owe me nothing sir, helping others has always been my nature” she said kindly “ In your nature or in your heart you still did, So I give you the gratitude of a king and thank you from the bottom of my heart” Sadis’ s head shot up in shock, but also embarrassed “King?! Oh how rude of me” With no warning Sadis lowed her head and body to the ground in a powerful bow and stayed there for many moments. “Oops I forgot to tell you that” giggled Simba “please my friend there is no need for that, raise your head” smiled Mufasa and she did. “Dad you should have seen Sadis mocking the hyen.....”
“SADIS!!!???” Mufasa mood changed so quick that when he got to his feet Sadis backed off meters back in surprise and fear. “Did you say Sadis?” Simba nodded. The lion walked up to the now wary horse looking deep into her eyes. The eyes, i now those eyes so well, can it really be? The king wondered. Mufasa face lifted with joy “Sadis it is you!!!” But the horse said nothing, she was confused. “Don’t you remember?” the king whispered. Sadis stepped closer and looked into the kings eyes. Something clicked, she knew them so well. She blinked “Mu.... Mufasa?” Mufasa nodded “ Yes Sadis it me” Sadis jumped high into the air toward Mufasa “ OHHH MY GOODNESS!!! Look at you Mufasa, you have grown so much, I didn’t recognize you” “ But what about you, you have changed so much and grown, I can believe your hear” Yell the king “ Wait you two know each other” asked Simba “ Yes my son, when me and your uncle were teenagers Sadis saved us from drowning and we were friends from that day onwards” Simba looked at Sadis “ so why did you leave then Sadis?” Asked Simba. The horse head fell in sadness, she was clearly hiding something. “ That doesn’t matter now, what matters the most is you are now hear, you will stray wont you Sadis?” the king almost pleading “ You mean... you want me to stay.... with all of you” Sadis eyes filled with water, only just holding them back. “ Yes “ she leaped over to Mufasa and hugged him with her neck . “Thank you... and yes I would love to stay” she cried with joy and the tears rolled down her face.

The lion and the horse walked side by side with Simba asleep on his father’s back. They talked lot until they climbed to the top of a hill and there spread out before them was pride rock. The wind blow around them and Mufasa turned to Sadis and said “Welcome home Sadis” however it was unknown to Sadis that this new life she was about to take was not all she thought it was going to be....
